Introduction

Home-the place where all worries from busy work life just fade away, leaving behind time and space to relax and rejoice with loved ones. A man’s home is the ground zero of all happiness, intimacy, comfort and ambition. It shapes you to be you- And sometimes, an even better individual. This is where good design steps in.

Problem Statement

The design of this project calls for a G+2, 3BHK residential bungalow on a 135 sq m (1453 sq ft) plot in Manish Nagar, Nagpur, Maharashtra. Considering the corner plot-site, Use of innovative design elements and architectural solutions for effective provision of light, ventilation and aesthetics is desired.

Design Consideration

• Shop on the ground floor to be designed, preferably on NW side of the plot, opening towards West direction. Approximate area of the shop shall be around 150 sq ft.

• Two distinct entrances into the plot shall be provided- North side entrance gate leading to the residence above (client’s residence), and West side entrance for the shop and Guest room on the ground floor. The client intends to sublet the Guest room to students and bachelors eventually.

•The client prefers greenery in spaces of gathering and bedroom areas. Provision of low- maintenance semi-open courtyards which bring greenery indoors and MS platforms for potted plants, along windows and parapets would interest the client.

‍These are few design considerations after our discussion with the client, the list is exhaustive and is provided to the architects as part of the project brief.
