Residential Apartment in Bangalore

Architectural Planning, 3D Modelling, Architectural Design, 3D Visualization.

Introduction

This project calls for design of a residential building, for a construction firm at Bangalore. Our client is a builder & developer based in Bangalore, who owns a plot in MKS Layout, Bangalore Municipal Corporation. The client plans on building residential dwelling units on the property, which he would later sell for profits. The design of the building should be aesthetically pleasing, with mindful use of space for appropriate functionality. Spacious interior areas, well lit and ventilated rooms, and linear arrangement of services would give the client an edge, which would result in better buyers and greater revenue generation for his construction firm.

Problem Statement

One residential unit (2BHK or 1 BHK) along with adequate parking. Two floors for a 3BHK duplex.

Design Consideration

The client wants the design to be aesthetically pleasing, as it is located on a 9m wide road. Modern-contemporary elevations, with calculated use of claddings, glass & steel finishes, and lights may be incorporated. Experimentation with building massing to mold the design, is a good idea. All planning should be abiding to the rules of Vastu Shastra. Care should be taken to make sure that the rooms are spacious. Cross ventilation for all spaces and ample sunlight are important concerns to satisfy. An effort should be made towards making the stay of user in these flats, comfortable and enjoyable. Provision of double heighted spaces, central courtyards, and terraces are a good way to improve the user's quality of living in the building.

These are few design considerations after our discussion with the client, the list is exhaustive and is provided to the architects as part of the project brief.
